Your arrival by car: South Tyrol in the North of Italy
Bring your own car to your holidays in Naturno
The Vinschgau Valley lies on the south side of the main Alps. Even though you have to pass high mountains to reach South Tyrol the journey is still an easy one. See below for travel instructions if you have chosen to come by car:

Arrival by car: South Tyrol from the North, East and West
If you are coming from the North take the A8 motorway via Munich until Rosenheim. Change onto the A93 towards Innsbruck, then continue on the A13 over the Brenner Pass to Brixen. Follow the motorway to Merano. Here you change onto the MEBO, the 31.7-kilometre-long freeway to Naturns.
Distance from Munich: 320 kilometres (approx. 3 hours and 20 minutes of driving time).
If you are coming from Vienna or other countries further east or north of Vienna, you should take the A1 motorway to Salzburg. Then continue from here on the A8 towards Munich until you reach Rosenheim. From here follow the same directions as above.
If you are coming from the West, for instance from Zurich, then take the connection via Landquart towards Arosa and onwards through the Vreraina tunnel and the Ofen pass towards Glurns. Charming, but more time consuming, is the option via Feldkirch to Landeck, and onwards over the Reschen Pass.
Arrival by car from the South:
Coming from Verona take the A22 via Trento to reach Merano. Then change onto the SS38 to Naturns.
Distance from Verona: approximately 190 kilometres (approx. 2 hours of driving time).

If you are travelling to South Tyrol in winter please do bear in mind that ice and snow will make winter tyres essential. Snow chains are a must. Please also bring the necessary number of safety vests in your car. On Austrian motorways a toll fee applies (Vignette sticker).
