Your mountain bike area

Naturns is at 550 metres, situated right at the top of the Merano countryside and the Vinschgau valley. The ideal starting point for all different types of cycling. For the pleasure cyclist, travel with the Vinschger railway or bike shuttle up to Reschenpass and then on 80 km of leisure bike routes back to Naturns, to Merano or to Bolzano. A bike experience for the whole family.

A selection of over 50 well-marked Alpine trails with tour maps, from single trails, downhill routes and super uphill classics, will set mountain bikers pulses racing. Sonnenberg is an attraction during the spring, a unique cycling area in the Alps. In the height of summer, you can travel up to the glaciers. The many side valleys will give you an incredibly diverse range of cycling experiences and the tzi Bike Academy and its 7 bike guides will help you forget all about GPS tours. Accompanied and with the South Tyrolean charm, every tour is a winner.

Day tours up to an altitude of 2000 metres are not uncommon when changing from the easier and gentle vineyard and apple slopes. Whether MTB or racing bikes, the Transalp Tour has also recognised the advantages of this cycling area and is a regular guest in Naturns.

Some cult tours

Madritsch Joch 3,146 metres, 73 km and an altitude of 2,500 metre, is the highest transalpine pass in the Stilfser Joch national park, where the views of the mighty mountainous scenery will take your breath away.
Eisjchl 2,875 m, 90 km and an altitude of 2,600 metres is one of the most famous and most beautiful Alpine crossings of all and leads from Naturns, through the Pfossental valley to Pfelders and back via Merano. Watch out for marmots and ibex crossing the path
Transalp classicsr: The Alm Vigiljoch in Naturns, 40 km and with an altitude of 1,500 metres. After an altitude of 1,500 metres, the 16 magnificent kilometres remaining reward you with a fascinating view of the Texelgruppe nature park, the tztaler Alps, the Dolomites and the Ortles region.
TheStilfser Joch is a must, not just for mountain bikers but also for racing bike fanatics. Travel with me, the junior manager at Lindenhof, up the cult pass, the highest crossable pass with the famous 48 hairpin bends, from the end of June to October
